  1. Add 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water in a sauce pan and bring to it a boil.
  2. Keep on boiling it till you get 1/2 tar consistency. (Sugar syrup should not be very thick otherwise jalebis will not soak syrup).
  3. In a mixing bowl, add maida, corn flour, curd, food color and mix well.
  4. Slowly add water to make a medium consistency batter (neither too thick nor too flowy).
  5. Keep on mixing the batter in round circular directions rigorously for 4 minutes or until it forms into a smooth batter.

  8. Heat oil in a pan (DO NOT add much of oil as we just need to shallow fry them)
  9. Squeeze the bottle and make round spirals and end it with a line in the center it connects spirals together with the batter.
  10. When one side is partly cooked, turn over and fry the other side.
  11. Fry till the jalebis are a light golden.
  12. Immediately drop the fried jalebis in the warm sugar syrup for 30 seconds. (sugar syrup must be hot if need be hot it again)
  13. Serve jalebis hot, warm or at room temperature.
