  20. 1 Onion finely chopped
  21. 2 Tomatoes finely chopped
  22. 2 tsp Coriander powder
  23. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  24. 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  25. 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  26. 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Instructions to make to make Dal baatis in appe pan

  1. For dal, wash all the dals and add to pressure cooker. Add salt and 5_6 cups water, turmeric powder, and mix well pressure cook for 4 to5 whistles.allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Heat the ghee in a pan. Add dry green red chillis, jeera when crackle add onion saute for 3 min.add tomatoes and ginger garlic paste saute for 2_3 min. Now add all masala haldi, chilli, garam masala along with 2_3spoon of water and mix well. Cook on a medium flame for 3_4 min. Remove from heat.

  3. For baatis.. in appe pan,Add wheat flour, semolina, ghee,salt and baking powder to a large mixing bowl. Mix well and yogurt to it. Mix well to knead into a semi stiff dough. 5_6 tbsp or more warm water if needed. Divide the dough in to 10_12 equal portions and shape each portion in to a ball. Heat the appe pan add grease it with desi ghee. Then put the baatis in appe pan and cook both sides untill they are golden brown. Then baatis soak cracked in ghee for a few second,drain and
